In short
- A form service for websites built and managed by 196 Global.
- Each business connects its own Gmail once, with permission to send email only.
- It never reads, stores or deletes anyone’s email.
- The business can disconnect at any time.
01What it does
Websites need a reliable way to deliver what visitors type into a contact or quote form. 196 Global Forms receives a submission from one of our clients’ websites, checks it (that it came from that website, that required fields are filled in, and that it isn’t spam), and emails it to the business. It can also send the visitor a short confirmation that their message arrived, and pass the inquiry to the business’s own customer system when the business asks us to.
02Who uses it
Businesses whose websites 196 Global LLC builds and manages, including 196 Global itself. It is not a public sign-up service; we set it up for each business as part of their website.
03Why it uses Google sign-in
Emails are sent from each business’s own Google Workspace account, so inquiries and confirmations come from the business’s real address and reach the inbox reliably. The business’s owner signs in with Google once to allow this. 196 Global Forms asks only for:
- Send email on your behalf (
gmail.send), to deliver that business’s form messages and confirmations; and - Your email address, to confirm the right account was connected.
It does not read, search, change or delete any email, contacts or other Google data. The sign-in token is stored encrypted and used only to send that business’s form emails.
04Disconnecting
A business can remove access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Its website forms then stop sending until it connects again. To have the service removed from a website entirely, email us.
05Privacy and terms
How information is handled is described in our Privacy Policy, including Google’s Limited Use requirements, and use of the service is covered by our Terms.
